With a Gospel or two already behind you, these plans start setting the New Testament next to the Old — Paul's letters alongside Genesis, Matthew alongside the exodus story he keeps quoting, a young and imperfect church alongside Israel's own uneven history.
The point isn't more books for its own sake; it's watching how the promises made early in the story get carried and kept. A little more ground to cover each day, but nothing yet that needs a lot of outside explanation to make sense.
